Get Growing has a smaller carbon footprint than other fertilizer brands because it is primarily made from locally sourced, recycled and natural ingredients. Our manufacturing process also utilizes energy more efficiently, reducing GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions. Unlike other organic fertilizers it is not made from blood, bone, feather, or seaweed meals, or worm castings/worm excrement (earthworms are an invasive species in Ontario). Unlike fertilizers made wholly from animal manure, there is no risk of spreading parasitic worms like roundworms or tapeworms, or pathogens like E. coli. The basic composition of Get Growing is a natural by-product of anerobic digestion. The useful energy including both heat and electricity that are generated as a result of the anaerobic digestion process are utilized locally, maximizing energy efficiency, and therefore minimizing environmental impact and GHG emissions.

Get Growing is an all-purpose natural organic fertilizer with a balanced ratio of NPK (nitrogen, phosphoric acid, and soluble potash). It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use (including residential and bulk agricultural applications) and has been proven effective in growing potted flowers, tropical houseplants, succulents, vegetables, wine grapes, and turf grass. Get Growing is certified as an organic input, and therefore may be used to grow organic produce. Get Growing is a great organic fertilizer for vegetables , fruit and any plant.

Get Growing is filled with macronutrients that plants need (including carbon, nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, calcium, sulfur and magnesium) and essential micronutrients (including boron, chlorine, manganese, iron, zinc, copper and molybdenum) that support plant growth and development.

Get Growing is non-toxic and is not known to contain ingredients that are harmful to cats, dogs, or livestock if accidentally ingested.

Get Growing is a concentrated solution. We recommend that you water your plant after pumping Get Growing onto to soil, to help disperse the nutrients into the soil and feed the roots. For use in watering cans, we recommend the fertilizer be diluted in a 1:16 ratio (one cup of fertilizer diluted into 4 litres/1 gallon of water). Get Growing can be used at every watering, and unlike chemical fertilizers will not cause leaf burn.

Get Growing improves soil’s moisture retention, so you may need to water your plants less often when fertilizing regularly.

When using our 300 mL pump bottle, each pump delivers 2 mL of fertilizer. For small pots 3-6” inches or 7-15 cm in diameter you can feed once per week using 4 pumps (8 mL). This means for most plants each bottle has enough product for over 32 uses. For larger pots 6-10 inches or 15-25 cm in diameter you can feed once per week using 8 pumps (16 mL). To fertilize one large plant once per week you should have enough product for over 16 uses.

Get Growing fertilizer can safely be used every time you water your plants. If fertilizing less often, monitor your plants for signs of nutrient deficiency like pale or yellowing foliage, fewer or no flowers and slower growth than usual. Droopy, limp or weak stems are also signs that your plant may need fertilizing.
